Paris 2024 was a turning point for the medal presentation as athletes could, for the first time, take a Triumph Selfie. Using the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition, Olympians joined forces with their fellow medal winners to capture the transformative moment of receiving their medals on the podium through their own perspective.
Samsung Electronics, in partnership with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), has introduced the Triumph Selfie for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, aligning with the essence of Paris 2024’s slogan, “Games Wide Open.”
The Triumph Selfie, designed for the optimal athlete experience, happened in the mixed zone post-official medal ceremony at select events, including Para Taekwondo, Para Athletics, Wheelchair Fencing, and more.
Athletes from various countries united once again to honor the camaraderie amidst competition and captured a moment of everlasting significance with Galaxy. The selfies were automatically shared to the Athlete365 app, enabling Paralympians to download and distribute the images with loved ones and supporters worldwide.
Highlighted below are some of the remarkable snapshots from the medal ceremonies at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games chosen by Samsung Newsroom.
