October 24th Scheduled for Intel Arrow Lake-S Release?

Intel had initially planned to unveil the upcoming Intel Core Ultra 200, also known as Arrow Lake-S desktop processors, in early October. However, the launch date has now been pushed back to October 24th. Recent reports indicated an announcement around October 6th, with the commercial release set for October 17th, 2024. With this new delay, enthusiasts will have to wait an additional week. Additionally, Intel’s motherboard partners are also adjusting their schedules to match the new launch date.

Delay in Arrow Lake-S Launch?

Official distributors have reportedly received details about the processors’ release, including pricing information. This has led to recent leaks regarding prices, sourced from communications between wholesalers and Intel. The initial wave of Arrow Lake-S processors will predominantly feature the ‘performance’ variants, specifically the K and KS versions. Similarly, motherboards supporting only the Z890 chipset are expected to be available in retail by the end of 2024. Fans anticipating the non-K versions and motherboards with the B860 and H810 chipsets may need to wait until CES 2025 in early January before seeing them in the market.

It’s crucial to note that the release dates and product details mentioned are unofficial and not confirmed by Intel. So far, Intel has been relatively tight-lipped about the upcoming processors succeeding the 13th and 14th generations, which are highly anticipated by loyal Intel users.

As previously highlighted, Arrow Lake-S processors will not support Hyperthreading. The launch of K versions is expected to be accompanied by KF versions.
