Ubisoft divulges Assassin’s Creed Syndicate update enabling 60 frames per second.

Following the debut of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in late 2020, Ubisoft has been updating many of its Assassin’s Creed games to support 60fps on these current-generation consoles. Surprisingly, one title that had not received this update was Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – a situation that seems to be changing soon.

A tweet from the official Ubisoft LATAM account, which has since been removed, hinted at an upcoming patch for AC Syndicate that would enable 60fps gameplay, with the publisher stating:

“Which Assassin’s Creed game have you spent the most time playing? (Perhaps Syndicate will take the lead with the new update introducing 60FPS).”

Although the tweet has been deleted, it is common for such accidental leaks to indicate an imminent official announcement, rather than being entirely false information.

In the recent past, many Assassin’s Creed games have been updated to run at 60fps on the latest consoles, such as AC Odyssey and AC Origins. Syndicate did receive a PS5 update, primarily aimed at addressing compatibility issues.

With Syndicate now poised to receive an official 60fps update, it will be intriguing to see if Ubisoft plans to enhance all Assassin’s Creed titles with this feature. While the specifics are still unknown, the prospect of playing Syndicate at 60fps is undoubtedly a welcomed enhancement.
