Hisense, the Chinese multinational appliance and electronics maker that was virtually unknown on these shores a decade ago, continues to expand its TV and projection lineups. Most recently, they unveiled a new 100-inch 4K LED-backlit LCD TV and now they announce plans to add a new model to their line of ultra-short-throw (UST) “laser TV” projectors.

The upcoming model known as the PX3-Pro is a follow-up to the highly acclaimed Top Pick-rated PX1-Pro UST projector released in 2022. Set to hit stores in the July-September time-frame, the PX3-Pro will feature Hisense’s latest TriChroma triple-laser projection technology. Priced at $3,500, the same as the PX1-Pro upon its initial release, the new model promises enhanced performance and functionality.

Equipped with the capability to support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ high dynamic range (HDR), the PX3-Pro can project images between 80 and 150 inches in size. Its usage of AI-driven algorithms allows it to adjust brightness, contrast, and reduce noise in real-time, ensuring a superior viewing experience. Hisense claims the projector covers 110% of the BT.2020 color space and boasts a brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, with a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1.

The PX3-Pro is built on the Google TV smart platform, granting easy access to popular streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Additionally, it supports IMAX Enhanced, polarized 3D playback with glasses, and offers high refresh rates optimized for gaming and sports content. On the sound front, the projector features support for Dolby Atmos surround sound and is equipped with a built-in 50-watt sound system featuring Harman Kardon speakers.
