A modern Dual Dragon 3D game is presently being developed at Japanese company and distributor Arc System Works showcasing Jimmy Lee, Billy Lee, Roper, Abobo, and additional characters.

As disclosed by Japanese publication Famitsu, and identified by Ryokutya2089, (noticed by Gematsu), the Japanese corporation is crafting a new 3D installment in the beloved beat ’em up video game series for current-gen consoles, past-gen consoles, and PC (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Personal Computer). As per Famitsu, this fresh 3D chapter will strive to preserve the excitement of classic side-scrolling action games, with updated controls and difficulty options for the contemporary period.

The latest part in the sequence is currently scheduled for publication in 2025. A precise release date is yet to be verified. We will inform you promptly as we gather more information concerning this new release from Arc System Works.

Initially launched as an arcade game in 1987, the primary Dual Dragon was brought to the first NES in 1998. The game was succeeded by multiple follow-ups for Arcade and domestic systems, encompassing Dual Dragon II for the NES in 1991. In 1992, Super Dual Dragon was introduced for the SNES. Several other installations and derivations have been launched since, with Arc System Works procuring the privileges to the IP in 2015. In 2017, the corporation presented Dual Dragon IV for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Personal Computer.

“The next episode in the side-scrolling action gaming franchise Dual Dragon is ultimately here!
The tale carries on after the eradication of the Shadow Warriors in Dual Dragon II,” Arc System Works penned in 2016.
