Apple Sports, the complimentary application for iPhone users that grants sports enthusiasts entry to instantaneous scores, statistics, and more, is all set for the kickoff of NFL and college football seasons.1

In an upcoming update, Apple Sports will introduce an innovative drop-down navigation for the primary scorecard views to enable swift switching between My Leagues, My Teams, and users’ feeds for favored leagues. Additionally, a revamped search function will streamline the process of viewing matches for leagues not currently followed.2

With iOS 18 and watchOS 11, iPhone and Apple Watch users can leverage Live Activities for all featured teams and leagues in the app, offering live scores and play-by-play right on their lock screens for the first time ever.3

Apple Sports will provide real-time scores, updates, betting insights, and more throughout the season for a spectrum of leagues, including NFL, NCAAF, MLS, MLB, NBA, WNBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, NWSL, Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, and Serie A. Furthermore, additional leagues will gradually become accessible on the platform, starting with the Champions League and Europa League league phase in September.

Designed by Apple for expediency and ease of use, Apple Sports furnishes fans with a straightforward and rapid method to stay abreast of their beloved teams and leagues. Users can tailor their scoreboards by tracking their favorite teams, tournaments, and leagues, and seamlessly switch between scores and upcoming games, delve into play-by-play details and lineup information, and instantly access the Apple TV app for live game viewing. Apple Sports also facilitates synchronization with selected favorites within the My Sports experience, encompassing the Apple TV app and Apple News.

For those interested, Live Activities can be deactivated in settings whenever preferred. To access Live Activities, users must be on iOS 18 and watchOS 11 or later; moreover, Live Activities will no longer be accessible in the Apple TV app with iOS 18. Certain services may necessitate a subscription.
