Arkadium, a renowned platform for online gaming, famous for its development of simple browser-based games like Solitaire, Bejeweled, and Sudoku, has recently inaugurated a publishing wing dedicated to browser games.

This move opens up the opportunity for third-party developers to utilize their publishing services for browser-based games, following the triumph of their developer program that commenced in April. Along with third-party publishing, they have also introduced a new fund totaling $1 million to aid developers and equip them with necessary resources to enhance their projects.

Simultaneously with the launch, Arkadium revealed its collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment to unveil an official gaming adaptation of the popular show Who Wants To Be A Billionaire? Besides this, they also disclosed the release of six new game titles under the newly established publishing division.

These offerings encompass Categories and Room Escapes by Article 19, Element Blocks and Zoo Boom by Famobi, Multiplayer Chess Online by Foony, and Ridella by Dylan Kappor.

In a released statement, Arkadium conveyed, “Our latest Arkadium publishing endeavor complements our ‘Arkadium for Developers’ initiative by extending additional support for game developers to flourish in the realm of browser gaming,” as stated by Dan Butchko, Arkadium’s Director of Developer Relations.

He further added, “This marks the next phase in our progressive advancement as pioneers in the browser-based gaming domain while crafting the finest gaming platform globally alongside some of the most inventive and enthusiastic game designers.”

Browser-based games serve as a refuge for individuals lacking access to a high-powered gaming setup or students diverting themselves from academic tasks. These games are employed in various scenarios, and Arkadium’s decision to engage with external developers holds promising prospects for the future of browser gaming. The company presents a revenue sharing model of 75%, welcoming game creators from worldwide to enlist their games in the Arkadium for Developers program.

Through the Arkadium for Developers program, the objective is to unveil 30 new game titles throughout 2024, capitalizing on this innovative initiative effectively.

Arkadium’s venture into third-party developer collaborations and game publishing signals an auspicious future for the landscape of browser-based gaming, advancing towards a more inclusive and diverse gaming environment for enthusiasts worldwide.
