AT&T Spoils Friday for Numerous Customers

Share it

AT&T has spoiled the end of the week for a large number of clients by revealing a SnowFlake linked invasion affecting approximately 109 million subscribers, essentially all individuals with an AT&T phone subscription. The breach encompasses data that cybercriminals were able to gather from May 1 to October 31, 2022, and again on January 2, 2023. The stolen information includes the contact numbers of not just AT&T consumers but also external providers, probably those that had dealings with one of the compromised accounts. Along with this, the data encompasses the count of calls and messages sent, along with a daily summary of call length and in specific instances, IDs of the cellular sites the phone connected to.

This situation could have been far more severe as no financial details were acquired such as payment cards or locations. However, this information is a treasure trove for fraudulent activities. If an individual is aware of the numbers you communicate with regularly or engage in prolonged discussions with, they may attempt to impersonate said person to extract information or funds from you. Should you be an AT&T patron, anticipate receiving communication from them in the near future.
