Background
The journey commenced over five decades ago with Fred Davies, a fiercely independent innovator in design and construction. His objective evolved into reshaping the audio listening experience through the purity of concrete horn speakers.
Fred initially focused on designing and installing large domestic horn systems that seamlessly integrated into home structures. While practical requirements eventually shifted his focus towards PA applications, his dedication to a comprehensive, horn-based home system remained unwavering.
He later collaborated with renowned festivals such as Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight. Numerous influential musicians including Steve Hillage and Hawkwind acknowledged his pioneering work.
His expertise in molding and casting led to groundbreaking OEM products for the hi-fi and PA industries, culminating in the introduction of the inaugural standalone AXJET speaker in 1992—a milestone in acoustic innovation.
After fifty years of relentless innovation, this vision has finally materialized in the AXJET PRO—a speaker embodying the essence of AXHORN’s history and dedication to perfection.
