Exciting Launch of Dark Ops VI Undead Ready For Debut Featuring Twin Locations
The undead franchise of Dark Ops has always garnered massive popularity, making appearances across various titles. Players were first introduced to this chilling game mode in Call of Duty: World At War back in 2008. Since then, it has been a recurring feature in many of the succeeding Call of Duty releases, with its latest installment being in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The forthcoming release of Call of Duty: Dark Ops 6 will feature the chilling zombies, and the recent COD Next event shed light on the launch including two distinct maps.
Among these maps are Liberty Falls and Terminus Island. These haunting settings will reintroduce round-based zombies, with Liberty Falls portraying a dilapidated West Virginian landscape. As players delve into survival, they will uncover a richly detailed world that unravels the stories of former inhabitants of Liberty Falls. Additionally, both Liberty Falls and Terminus Island will offer intriguing side quests for players to embark on and complete.
For Liberty Falls, players can anticipate a surge of nostalgia as it encapsulates the essence of 90s America. Explorations through locales like a comic shop, a video store, and a bowling alley are just a few examples of the vivid experiences players will encounter. The two maps entering the world of Dark Ops 6 are starkly contrasting, with Liberty Falls boasting a more vibrant and lively atmosphere while Terminus Island exudes a dark and somber ambiance.
While it might seem like the zombies game mode in Dark Ops 6 merely adds a new twist to the gameplay, players can also expect an array of new weaponry to wield, such as the mighty Thrustodyne M23 and the formidable Wunderwaffe DG-2, both capable of decimating hordes of zombies with ease.
Furthermore, a novel Perk Machine awaits players, providing the ability to power up their Dedicated Melee with a perk named the Melee Macchiato. But that’s not all – in addition to traversing the depths of the two maps in Zombies, players will stumble upon unique traps scattered across both locations, like the ominous “Trigger the Aetherella Trap in the Liberty Falls Comic Shop.”
During the extensive overview at COD Next, the team also highlighted the upcoming quality-of-life revisions in Call of Duty: Dark Ops 6 Zombies. Door costs will now be divided among players, eliminating concerns of one player rushing ahead. Additionally, individualized drops and three self-revives per player will enhance the gameplay experience. A variety of minor tweaks have been implemented to ensure a more enjoyable Zombies encounter, with a comprehensive breakdown available in a new blog post summarizing the COD Next event.
