HP and Canva are teaming up to simplify the process of moving designs from concept to print, and bridging the gap between designers and local printing services.
Promising “distinctive design-to-print services and interactions” for users, the collaboration aims to enhance the Canva Print service by leveraging HP’s global printing network.
This collaboration is the most recent in a series of announcements from the platform for graphic design software, which encompassed the launch of Canva Enterprise subscriptions and the donation of its recently acquired Affinity programs to educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.
Global print network for design
The act of printing online designs dates back to the early days of the internet – even Canva initially provided this option when Canva Print debuted in 2017. So, what benefits does this new collaboration truly offer?
As per the companies, the objective is to allow Canva users to create any design and have it printed anywhere without compromising on quality and originality. A one-stop destination from designing to printing, whether picking up or having it delivered, with localized production for sustainability.
Although not intended to replace top small enterprise printers just yet, it does enhance access to large-scale printers thanks to HP’s global network of printing service providers, now ready to cater to Canva’s 185 million monthly users.
Additionally, Canva is incorporating HP PrintOS Site Flow to automate production and shipping tasks for printer service providers. This is expected to “simplify print tasks with automatic scheduling, ensuring color accuracy, enhancing security, barcode tracking, and maximizing efficiency,” according to the companies.

By closely collaborating on developing new products and adding more PSP locations, we can extend our top-tier printing capabilities and make it simpler than ever for our worldwide community to bring their designs to fruition,” stated Jim Towle, Head of Printing and Partnerships at Canva.
To underline the depth of this new alliance, HP also revealed it has become one of the inaugural subscribers to Canva Enterprise. An offering previously absent from the platform, this fresh subscription package introduces a variety of content marketing tools and templates for visual communications to attract the interest of large corporations.
