Capcom halts Exoprimal development, but the game will still be accessible for players.

Exoprimal failed to gain traction as Capcom had anticipated, but the company dedicated a whole year to supporting the game, delivering four seasons of post-launch content. Now, Capcom is prepared to shift focus, with no further content updates in the works.

Debuting in July 2023, Exoprimal received a mixed reception. Consequently, the game did not achieve significant sales at launch, and despite various crossover events and updates, it never surpassed 5000 concurrent players on Steam.

As of now, the game’s highest concurrent player count for a 24-hour period is a mere 81. With a dwindling player base, Capcom declared it would cease producing new content for Exoprimal. Nevertheless, the game will continue to be available online for the foreseeable future.

If you missed out on any of the limited-time skins from past seasons and still desire to unlock them, you are in luck. Capcom will cycle through content from seasons 1-4 monthly starting from July.
