Exciting Releases at Computex 2024: EK Introduces Innovative Water Cooling Components and the EK-Pro DFF System

At the recent Computex 2024 event, EK has unveiled its cutting-edge creations. Alongside the EK-Pro DFF (Draining, Flushing, and Filling) system, EK has announced a fresh range of water cooling parts called Nexe, designed to offer a harmonious blend of affordability and performance.

Nexe serves as a technological union between effective cooling solutions and high-speed computing, merging the advantages of open-loop cooling with the convenience of closed-loop AIO systems. In a departure from traditional loop setups, Nexe features water blocks and combo units that are injection molded, akin to AIO coolers, to ensure an optimal mix of functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.

While the Nexe CPU water blocks maintain their classic design and core elements, the Nexe GPU water blocks adopt a modular strategy. These GPU blocks consist of a versatile cooling platform that can accommodate various GPU models, along with a heatsink that envelops the PCB. By utilizing a single Nexe GPU cooling core, users can effectively cool graphics cards like the RTX 4090, actively managing GPU and VRAM temperatures. Additional PCB components are cooled using specialized aluminum extrusions tailored to each specific GPU model.

A significant time-saving feature of the Nexe system is its elimination of the need for cutting and threading tubes or securing compression rings. Instead, Nexe employs straightforward push-in fittings that securely lock in place. Powering the Nexe cooling loop is a pump-reservoir combo unit equipped with a potent D5 pump. For a more budget-friendly alternative, the DTX pump is available, offering superior power compared to standard AIO pumps. The inclusion of two Quick Disconnect (QDC) fittings in the combo unit facilitates swift filling and maintenance of the entire loop.

Addressing the upkeep of liquid-cooled gaming and workstation setups, EK has also introduced the EK-Pro DFF Unit. This device streamlines the process of filling, maintaining, and servicing liquid-cooling systems. Featuring four large containers for fresh coolant, cleaning solution, flushing agent, and waste, the EK-Pro DFF can execute intricate procedures like pressurizing the loop, cleaning with EK’s specialized agent, flushing the system, and refilling the loop with new coolant – all with a single press.

The flexibility of the DFF unit extends its use beyond EK’s Nexe and Pro lines to other liquid cooling systems. Furthermore, EK plans to offer conversion adapters to make any standard custom loop product compatible with the DFF system. The female adapter boasts a male G1/4 thread, while the male adapter features a female G1/4 thread.
