W7900DS: a two-space version to maximize PCs!

As Computex is slated to open its doors tomorrow, AMD has already made some announcements. While the spotlight is on the new Ryzens, the professional sector can now benefit from a fresh graphics card, the W7900DS. This is a sleek new iteration of the RADEON Pro W7900, a model that was leaked last week.

In essence, the card maintains the same configuration. This edition boasts a complete Navi 31 GPU with 6144 stream processors and 48 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Essentially, it’s a specialized RX 7900 XTX with double the memory capacity and driver support tailored to professional software.

The primary difference lies in the dual-slot design – DS signifies “Dual Slot.” The objective is straightforward: to slim down the card for easier installation of multiple units in a setup. Applications extend beyond AI to sectors like 3D modeling, video encoding, and more.

Notably, the price has dropped to an official retail price of $3,499, compared to the original card’s $3,999. However, no alterations in performance or frequency have been disclosed.
