Having invested years in early access, the widely known resource management game Satisfactory has ultimately received its 1.0 update – nearly a decade after its initial creation. Now that PC players can fully enjoy Satisfactory, the developers are now concentrating on a console debut.

Revealed in the 1.0 release trailer for the game, the Coffee Stain Studios team hinted at the imminent arrival of Satisfactory on consoles “soon™“ – while also mentioning controller support.

For those unfamiliar, Satisfactory was first launched in early access way back in 2019. Since then, the game has received substantial updates, with one of the major ones transitioning the entire game to Unreal Engine 5 – introducing ray-tracing and other enhancements as a result.

Specifics about the console release are scarce, but given the expected arrival in the near future, it’s likely that development on this version has been ongoing for quite some time.

It will be intriguing to see if the aforementioned RT features will be integrated into the console release – and if there will also be a version for previous-gen consoles. Hopefully, we won’t be kept waiting too long to get answers.
