Dark Legend: Wukong Set to Get Two DLC Add-Ons Prior to Sequel Launch

Share it

Aforementioned speculations suggest that Black Myth: Sun Wukong is poised to receive two DLC expansions before the arrival of its successor.

Insider information from Lunatic Ignus on their dedicated Discord channel indicates that Game Science, the developers, are planning to launch two DLC expansions for their inaugural game. The specific themes of these expansions remain undisclosed; however, leaked audio files hint at appearances from Buddha, Jade Emperor, and Nezha, who is expected to play a more significant role in the studio’s upcoming project. The leaker suggests that the release of these two expansions aligns with Game Science’s original intention for Black Myth: Sun Wukong to encompass 13 chapters, a plan that was subsequently altered.

While the exact release dates for the DLC expansions remain unknown, the leak suggests they will follow the launch of the Xbox version and physical editions. An official announcement is anticipated around Summer 2025, potentially on August 20th, coinciding with the game’s one-year anniversary.

Past reliability of Lunatic Ignus adds credibility to the recent revelations. However, like all hearsay, caution is warranted when digesting information about Black Myth: Sun Wukong and its sequel, reportedly codenamed Black Myth: Jiang Ziya, until an official confirmation is provided. Given that the game was just launched two weeks ago, fans may need to exercise patience for any updates.

Black Myth: Sun Wukong is presently accessible on PC and PlayStation 5 globally. While an Xbox Series X|S version is in progress, rumors suggest a potential indefinite delay due to critical technical glitches. Comprehensive insights into the game can be found in my detailed review.
