Enveloped Incorporates Aid for FSR 3, Change Adjustments, and Added Characteristics

A recent significant update was announced by game developer Keen Games for the RPG Enshrouded, focusing on survival action. The new update, titled ‘Back to the Shroud,’ introduces compatibility with AMD FSR 3, an advancement from FSR 2. It’s important to note that although no new frames are generated yet, the FidelityFX Super Resolution has been upgraded to enhance its overall quality.

One of the key highlights of this update from a gameplay perspective is the inclusion of various difficulty modifiers that enable players to tailor their Enshrouded gameplay experience. There are four preset difficulty options provided by the developers:

  • Standard: Acting as the default difficulty setting, this is recommended for first-time players.
  • Easygoing: This setting lowers the number of enemies, increases resource availability, and enhances loot drops. Ideal for players focusing on base-building and casual exploration.
  • Challenging: Amps up the enemy count and aggressiveness, delivering a more demanding combat experience.
  • Endurance: Geared towards players seeking a challenging experience with added survival elements alongside the intensified enemy encounters.

Moreover, players have the flexibility to fine-tune over thirty individual settings as per their preferences. These adjustments range from enemy strength, boss resilience, player abilities, inclusion of survival mechanics akin to other survival games, buffs duration, day-night cycles, and Shroud duration. These customized settings are applicable in both single-player and co-op modes, including dedicated server gameplay.

Additionally, in this update, Keen Games has introduced expanded character customization options, allowing players to adjust skin tone, eye color, eyebrow color, and choose from six additional character presets. Furthermore, equipment such as armor pieces and weapons can now be showcased within your base using craftable props. Collectible props discovered throughout the Enshrouded world can also be displayed on decorative shelves. The update also includes enhancements to the crafting interface, refinement of the block and parry system, and expansion of various points of interest.

Enshrouded has witnessed impressive sales of around three million units to date. The complete version is anticipated to be released at some point next year on both PC and console platforms.
