Recently, games publisher Arc Games revealed a novel multiplayer game titled Alliance. Crafted by the newly formed team Chief Rebel (comprised of seasoned professionals who contributed to World of Warcraft, Diablo, Helldivers, Battlefield, The Division, Just Cause, and more), Alliance is referred to by the developers as a ‘MODA’: a multiplayer online dungeon adventure. Essentially, the game revolves around experiences akin to MMO dungeon raids, eliminating the non-essential content typically found in such games.

Axel Lindberg, Chief Executive Officer and Game Director at Chief Rebel, articulated:

Drawing inspiration from various beloved games, we have crafted a dungeon escapade that allows players to dive straight into the most exciting aspects of MMOs and ARPGs, the end-game dungeons, right from the outset effortlessly. Alliance is designed to be a perpetually progressing journey, and we are eager to have players on board with us from the very beginning, as we eagerly anticipate their participation in our Closed Alpha testing!

The Closed Alpha test marks just the commencement for Alliance, as we have a plethora of remarkable content and features to reveal as we set our sights on a PC release next year.

As expected, the traditional tank, healer, and damage dealer roles, known as the Holy Trinity, are prominently featured in Alliance. Chief Rebel has specified that the dungeon expeditions will continuously increase in difficulty. Furthermore, unlike typical MMOs, players will select from well-established heroes. In the upcoming Closed Alpha trial scheduled between August 15 and 21, players will have the choice of six heroes (two tanks, two damage dealers, and two healers).

The dungeon escapades will be categorized into Adventure and Ranked modes. The former will offer a condensed gaming experience lasting 10 to 15 minutes, while Ranked dungeons will extend up to 30 minutes and also record results on a competitive leaderboard.
