During the past couple of years, our team has been dedicated to offering Google Play Games to a broader audience of Windows PC gamers globally.
Today marks the debut of Google Basics, a fresh application designed to simplify the process of discovering and installing numerous top-tier Google services – including Google Play Games – when initiating a new desktop setup. Initially, Google Basics will be compatible with all HP consumer and gaming Windows brands: Spectre, Envy, Pavilion, OMEN, Victus, and HP Brand, with further integration planned for all OmniBook brands. This app can be easily accessed from the start menu and enables effortless switching between your laptop and mobile device.
For instance, through Google Basics or HP’s OMEN Gaming Hub, users can delve into a plethora of mobile and native PC games from Google Play Games, such as Clash of Clans and CookieRun: Tower of Adventures. By logging in to your Play Games account, you can synchronize your in-game progress and rewards across specific titles, facilitating seamless transitions between your Android device and PC.
In addition, Google Photos and Google Messages are readily available via Google Basics, offering convenient access to your photo collection and enabling swift responses to messages from loved ones. When productivity is key, Google Basics provides shortcuts to popular productivity applications like Google Docs, Drive, and Calendar. Moreover, eligible Google One subscribers can enjoy a complimentary 2-month trial of Google One 100GB for their cloud storage requirements.
Our aim is to ensure that users retain full control over their experience. At any point, you have the freedom to uninstall any Google service – or Google Basics in its entirety. Over the upcoming months, Google Basics will extend compatibility to more desktops and laptops, so keep an eye out for further announcements.
