August 2024 Game Pass Titles Unveiled

Just recently, insider extas1s disclosed a sneak peek of what’s to come on Game Pass in August. While several games were anticipated, we now have specific release dates. For example, Atlas Fallen, the Action RPG from Deck13, will make its debut on Microsoft’s subscription service on August 13, just one week post the launch of the Reign of Sand update. This update promises significant enhancements to the game, such as new voiceovers, areas, enemies, Essence Stones, a New Game Plus feature, and overall quality improvements.

Rumors suggested that Crash N.Sane Trilogy from Activision Blizzard would also be part of the Game Pass lineup. According to extas1s, this remastered collection of the popular platform series is set to hit the subscription service on Thursday, August 8.

Following closely, on August 8, Game Pass members can look forward to experiencing Mafia Definitive Edition, the revamped version of the iconic open-world title that initiated the series. This addition has been officially confirmed by 2K in light of the earlier leaks.

While these are the major newcomers for August, more games are on the horizon. The month kicks off on August 6 with SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato, an indie adventure situated in South America. The next day, players can dive into Creatures of Ava, a game focused on saving creatures on an alien planet afflicted by an infection named ‘withering.’

As per the leaked schedule, Wargroove 2, the acclaimed turn-based tactics sequel by Chucklefish, is set to join Game Pass on August 15. Lastly, Core Keeper from Pugstorm will be introduced on Tuesday, August 27. Core Keeper, a ‘mining sandbox adventure’ title released in March 2022 through early access, lets players explore a procedurally generated underground world, drawing inspiration from games like Stardew Valley, Terraria, and Minecraft.

While this is the complete August Game Pass lineup, extas1s hinted at potential additions such as Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. Additionally, there are talks of Grand Theft Auto V joining PC Game Pass soon. Recently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was added to the roster as well.

Considering this diverse array of upcoming games, are you convinced to subscribe, especially with the recent pricing modifications?
