GEEKOM MEGAMINI G1: before the official announcement at IFA

Share it

Before the grand revelation at IFA, GEEKOM is preparing to unveil the MEGAMINI G1. This slightly downsized PC showcases a genuine desktop graphics card (RTX 4060) and a specialized liquid cooling system. Although leaked a few weeks ago, the official confirmation by Geekom is set for IFA 2024. However, this shouldn’t be mistaken for a full launch just yet. Geekom seems inclined to first assess the market potential of this PC through a preliminary round on KickStrater. Worth noting is that the Megamini G1 is not solely a product of Geekom but is the outcome of a collaboration with TECNO.

Geekcom Megamini G1: commencing first on Kickstarter

Presenting a compact alternative to the Corsair One, this mini PC boasts a notably smaller chassis. Encased in glass, the PC measures 150 x 150 x 255 mm in dimensions (with a mere 5.74 L capacity). The high-tier configuration includes an Intel Core i9-13900H, although a more budget-friendly option with a Core i7-13620H is also on offer. These processors are tailored for high-performance in gaming laptops, indicating that a bespoke motherboard format is likely.

The standout feature of this PC is its visual appeal. It integrates a mini-display for real-time monitoring of CPU load, graphics card status, and chassis temperature. The Megamini also incorporates an advanced custom watercooling system. GEEKOM proudly asserts that it functions silently at under 26dB, ensuring efficient temperature control without generating noise.

On the connectivity front, the PC is equipped with USB, Thunderbolt, OCuLink, HDMI 2.0 ports, an SD 3.0 card reader, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. For the Kickstarter debut, the starting price is $1,499 for the version featuring a Core i7-13620H, RTX4060 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.
