Introducing BlueHat 2024: Paper submissions now being accepted | MSRC Blog

Share it

The 23rd version of Microsoft’s BlueHat security gathering is set to take place at the Redmond, WA corporate campus on October 29 and 30, 2024, under the organization of the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC).

BlueHat serves as a platform bringing together security analysts and responders from both within and outside Microsoft, convening as equals to share thoughts, encounters, and leading practices, all with the goal of establishing a safer and more secure global environment for all.

Commencing in 2005 to offer Microsoft’s increasing internal security group with outside viewpoints on Microsoft and the sector in general, BlueHat has transformed into one of the lengthiest security research and response gatherings in the sector.

The Call for Papers (CFP) for BlueHat 2024 is now accessible until August 30, 2024.

The two-day event offers a chance to display leadership ideas in the vulnerability and mitigation sector, emerging security risks and tactics, fresh and unconventional research conclusions, appeals to the security community, and additional subjects.

All are welcome to participate in the Call for Papers, and we implore the entire security community (yes, you too!) to contemplate submitting either a 45-minute Breakout Session or a 15-minute Lightning Talk.

Below are several potential submission themes. These are offered as inspirations, not limitations. We eagerly anticipate observing what you present to the community.

  • Securing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Systems

  • Implemented Cryptography

  • Cybersecurity Employment

  • Cybersecurity Regulations

  • Data Examination & Incident Reaction

  • Scalable Detection Approaches

  • Exploitation Progression

  • Human Aspects

  • IoT/OT Essential Infrastructure Protection

  • Quantum Protection

  • Invaluable Group Lessons Learned

  • Opposite Engineering

  • Virtualization and Container Protection

If you have sent a case to MSRC that has been fully settled, identified as completed, and at least 30 days have elapsed since solutions were released, with affected clients informed, we advise you to think about publishing your research findings for presentation at BlueHat.

Furthermore, if you wish to consider co-presenting your research in cooperation with a Microsoft technical specialist familiar with your case, kindly forward an email to [email protected] to converse.

To discover more about the BlueHat event, the Call for Papers procedure, and notions for paper submissions, watch or listen to this Experts Forum dialogue with Lee Holmes, Marissa Quebbeman, Raul Rojas, and Roberto Rodriguez, or view session replays on request from earlier BlueHat events.

Further information will be disclosed soon, including enrollment details, keynote speakers, and additional insights.

Mark your calendars, send in your papers, and prepare for BlueHat. Track @MSFTBlueHat on X (previously known as Twitter) or Microsoft Security Response on LinkedIn for notifications and statements, and use #BlueHat to take part in the conversation.
