Could AMD Introduce the Latest Ryzen 9000X3D Processor at Gamescom Soon?
Rumors are circulating that AMD might reveal its upcoming Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs during Gamescom this week. After the turbulent debut of the Ryzen 9000X, this could signify AMD’s strategy to counter the negative feedback it has been receiving. AMD has an event labeled as a “Gaming Festival” planned for August 23, leaving room for potential announcements. Speculations suggest that apart from showcasing new motherboards, which have already been extensively discussed, there might be a dedicated segment for enthusiasts and gamers where AMD could disclose details about the 9000X3D. Reports hint at a possible unveiling of the Zen 5 3D V-Cache, sparked by a hidden HTML code found on the ASUS X870E/X870/B850/B840 website. The code teases a joint introduction of Ryzen 9000X3D processors alongside the 800 series motherboards.
However, it’s important to note that an “announcement” is not the same as a product launch. Hastening this timeline could be AMD’s attempt to introduce something new to the media to divert attention from the ongoing negativity. It’s also worth mentioning that the mere launch of fresh chipsets may not be sufficient to mitigate the current criticisms. For weeks now, it’s been evident that these chipsets do not offer substantial improvements over the existing 700 series options. The primary modifications include an increase in PCIe Gen 5 lanes (on certain lower-end models) and support for USB 4 (already present on some previous-generation models). On the contrary, AMD might enable wider availability of budget-friendly motherboards with the introduction of the B840 and B850 chipsets (priced below $120), which could be where the real innovation lies.
Stay tuned for the latest updates in the coming hours.
