We recently got our hands on the MSI Z790 MPOWER motherboard and the Patriot Viper Gaming Xtreme 5 memory kit, designed to complement each other aesthetically. Initially targeted for the Chinese market, the Z790 MPOWER is now accessible in France, and the pairing with the Patriot Viper Xtreme 5 MPOWER looks fantastic!
We are eager to dive into testing this dual in-line memory module motherboard, pushing its limits with the Xtreme 5 MPOWER running at 8000 MT/s with CL38 timings, offering a combined capacity of 2 x 16 GB. Having previously reviewed the Patriot Viper Xtreme 5 kit at 48 GB and clocked at 8200 MT/s CL38, we have high expectations.
Adding to the metal collection, we plan to put this setup on a Streacom testing stand, the stylish silver BC1 V2 model. We look forward to sharing our insights on this “Open Benchtable” model.
Additionally, we are excited to introduce the Benchlab tool, a project in collaboration with OBT, specifically designed to be utilized alongside the BC1 V2. This innovation provides a comprehensive solution for monitoring your setup at various levels.
