It is of interest to note that with the slated release in 2025, there is a possibility of the game being compatible with multiple platforms. Nintendo is currently developing a new system, dubbed ‘Switch 2’, which will maintain the versatile portable/home console fusion while incorporating fresh enhancements and modernized hardware. The upcoming console will be equipped with backward compatibility features, although the extent to which older titles will leverage the upgraded hardware for improved frame rates or resolutions remains unknown.

Metroid is not the sole significant Nintendo intellectual property receiving attention today. Additionally, Nintendo disclosed details about a novel Zelda installment, where players will assume the role of Zelda herself, deviating from the traditional protagonist, Link.
