One of the new offerings is the Surface Laptop, driven by the Snapdragon X Elite processor, promising an impressive battery life of up to 22 hours of local video playback and 15 hours of web browsing. Microsoft showcased Adobe Photoshop and other Creative Cloud apps running seamlessly on the Arm-based processor, outperforming Apple’s M3 MacBook Air. Additionally, the device features Prism emulation to enhance compatibility with existing x64 and x86 software.

On the other hand, the new Surface Pro model, not labeled with numbers but showcasing significant performance enhancements, boasts a 90% increase in speed compared to its predecessor. Equipped with a QHD front-facing camera and a rear camera capable of recording 4K videos, Microsoft has also incorporated accessibility-focused design improvements into the keyboard and trackpad.

Both devices are part of Microsoft’s ‘Copilot + PC’ initiative, requiring a minimum configuration of 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD storage, and an integrated NPU from Qualcomm, Intel, or AMD. In this case, Qualcomm’s chip takes the spotlight.
