A fresh teaser for Mortal Combat 1 has just dropped, offering an early look at the downloadable content fighter, Takeda Takahashi. Fortunately, gamers won’t have to wait much longer before getting their hands on this new combatant.
Players who possess the Combat Pack can test out the new DLC warrior starting on July 23. On the other hand, those without the Combat Pack will have to hold out until July 30 for full access. Alongside the arrival of Takeda Takahashi, a brand-new Kameo warrior, Ferra, is also up for grabs. Ferra brings a range of supportive combos to assist you in vanquishing your adversaries in battles.
If Takeda Takahashi is not a familiar name to you, he originally surfaced in Mortal Combat X, where it was revealed that he was raised within the Yakuza. His cousin, Kenshi, shared a similar upbringing but had a differing perspective on that lifestyle compared to Takeda. Takeda was tasked with aiding in opposing Kenshin and putting an end to his masters’ tyranny.
Takeda Takahashi makes his entry into Mortal Kombat 1 as the ultimate character to be introduced in the Combat Pack. Furthermore, this fresh addition, along with Ferra, will be accessible for demonstration and gameplay during the Evolution Championship Series (EVO). In the preview, Takeda Takahashi is depicted wielding some of his signature weapons from past Mortal Kombat titles. Additionally, his character is portrayed in the Mortal Kombat comics employing weapons that are not utilized within the game.
Takeda is showcased using a bladed Lasher, executing fierce assaults against his foes. He displays formidable combos right off the bat and can even leverage his ability to grapple to the ceiling for an aerial assault on his adversary. Besides the lasher, he possesses projectiles that he can hurl at his opponent, causing them to stagger. When not utilizing the lasher, he resorts to hand-to-hand combat against his foes.
Ferra showcases remarkable frost capabilities that can turn the tide in battle. One instance includes them creating a temporary ice barrier, trapping the opponent against it.
