MSI has just introduced its first collection of X870(E) motherboards, releasing more AM5 motherboards into the market. The lineup is divided among MSI’s typical range of products, such as MEG, MPG, MAG, and PRO, each catering to a specific type of user.

Leading the pack is the MEG GODLIKE, the high-end board that radiates opulence with its extensive heatsink coverage, a 4-inch LCD screen, and a visually striking layout. Equipped with a 27-phase VRM and compatible with DDR5-8000, this motherboard is built for extreme performance and memory overclocking. Boasting a range of connectivity features including USB4 ports, 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2, 4 M.2 NVMe slots, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and multi-Gigabit LAN, the MEG GODLIKE reigns as MSI’s pinnacle X870E motherboard. Accompanying the motherboard is an EZ Control Hub, an ARGB/PMW controller module designed to be discreetly placed behind the motherboard tray.

The MPG Carbon WIFI follows closely behind, offering a wealth of features with a 21-phase CPU VRM and support for multiple Gen 4 expansion slots. Although not as extravagant as the MEG GODLIKE, the MPG Carbon WIFI does not skimp on functionality, providing a comprehensive package: USB4 ports at 40 Gbps, support for 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 type-C and type-A, along with a pair of 5 GbE + 2.5 GbE wired LAN ports. The WLAN setup mirrors this configuration.

Further down the product line is the MAG Tomahawk WIFI, utilizing the X870 chipset to deliver a solid feature set with a 17-phase VRM and robust connectivity choices, including 4 M.2 NVMe slots, 40 Gbps USB4 ports featuring DisplayPort passthrough, 5 GbE wired LAN, and Wi-Fi 7 + BT 5.4. Completing the lineup is the PRO-P WIFI, a mainstream board offering a streamlined design and essential features for a dependable gaming experience, featuring a 17-phase VRM setup, USB4 ports, and Wi-Fi 7.
