NAD introduces a new streaming amplifier that enhances the well-received C 700 model.

NAD has introduced an innovative high-fidelity streaming amplifier that takes the renowned C 700 to new heights.

The advanced C 700 V2 is equipped with an upgraded ESS Sabre digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and introduces support for Dirac Live room correction, AirPlay 2 integration, moving-magnet (MM) phono input, infrared (IR) control, MQA decoding, and Dolby Digital surround decoding. Priced at $1,599, the V2 offers enhanced features for just a $100 increase over its predecessor.

While retaining the sleek appearance, dimensions (8.6 x 3 x 10.5), sturdy aluminum construction, and existing capabilities of the C 700, the V2 boasts a HybridDigital UcD amplifier delivering 2 x 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Additional features include multiroom streaming across 63 zones with NAD’s BluOS platform, support for hi-res audio up to 24-bit/192-kHz, aptX HD Bluetooth, and MQA decoding.

Utilizing Dirac Live processing necessitates acquiring a license from dirac.com and utilizing a calibrated microphone for optimizing sound quality based on speaker characteristics and room acoustics. The C 700 V2 can store up to five Dirac Live profiles to cater to various system configurations and room settings.

With the inclusion of Dolby Digital processing, users can establish a 4.1-channel surround-sound setup by incorporating BluOS-enabled rear-channel speakers and a wired subwoofer. The addition of a phono input simplifies connecting a turntable without the need for an external phono preamp.

The C 700 V2 is compatible with Alexa and Siri voice assistants and provides access to over 20 popular music streaming services, including Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, and Amazon Music Ultra HD, along with internet radio stations and local music libraries via the BluOS app.

Connectivity options on the V2 include analog phono and line-level RCA inputs, optical and coaxial digital inputs, stereo pre-out jacks, and HDMI eARC and USB Type A ports. For additional details, visit nadelectronics.com.
