Next week will see the arrival of official mod backing for Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC.
Larian Studios has dedicated significant effort towards crafting the highly anticipated Seventh significant update for Baldur’s Gate 3 over the course of several months. At last, the update is prepared for release, set to commence deployment on PC in the upcoming week.
The highlight of this forthcoming update is the inclusion of sanctioned mod support, alongside the integration of a mod repository within the game, akin to the Creation Store found in Bethesda titles such as Fallout 4 and Starfield. Nonetheless, PC players will also have the option to procure mods not featured on the official platform through sources like Nexus Mods. Mods accessible through Larian’s platform will be subjected to specific limitations, given that these mods must also be compatible with Xbox and PS5 – platforms slated to receive Patch 7 at a later juncture.
Additionally, Patch 7 will bring about split-screen enhancements, fresh combat upgrades, novel conclusions tailored for malevolent playthroughs – with one heavily drawing inspiration from Berserk – and a slew of miscellaneous bug rectifications and optimizations.
The comprehensive patch notes are eagerly anticipated, poised to surface around the time of the patch’s rollout next week.
