There are reports indicating that Intel’s Arrow Lake-S debut may face a setback. Earlier speculations suggested a launch date of October 10th, with availability on October 17th. However, recent updates indicate a delay, moving the release to October 24th.

According to HKEPC (via VideoCardz), multiple motherboard manufacturers have verified this claim. Consequently, those interested in acquiring an Intel Core Ultra 200K series CPU upon launch might encounter a one-week delay.

The initial range is expected to encompass five variants, such as the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and 265KF, and the Core Ultra 5 245K and KF. While Intel is yet to disclose detailed specifications about these SKUs and their underlying design, many sources suggest that these chips will incorporate Lion Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores.

Notably, despite sharing the same physical dimensions as the current desktop CPU lineup, the upcoming processors will not be compatible with existing motherboards. Instead, they will utilize a new socket, LGA-1851. The new motherboards utilizing this socket are expected to launch alongside the Arrow Lake-S processors.
