Samsung Electronics has divulged a collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., aiming to endorse high-quality automotive memory solutions for cutting-edge in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The successful qualification of Samsung’s automotive LPDDR4X memory for integration with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon^® Digital Chassis^™ has been announced. This strategic move ensures a stable supply chain for premium automotive applications.

“Partnering with Qualcomm Technologies allows us to provide lasting customer solutions through our diverse range of automotive memory products,” expressed Hyunduk Cho, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Memory Business Automotive Group.

Furthermore, Samsung is gearing up to introduce its next-generation automotive LPDDR5, estimated to be accessible for sampling by the fourth quarter of this year. The LPDDR5 is projected to deliver unparalleled speed capabilities of up to 9.6 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) in extreme operational conditions.

As part of Samsung’s commitment to automotive innovation, the LPDDR4X memory qualification symbolizes strengthened support for customers and ecosystem partners leveraging Qualcomm Technologies’ Digital Chassis.
