Authorities in South Korea are probing Samsung, following the assessment that two employees at a plant of the leading tech company were exposed to radiation.

The two individuals, who are currently receiving medical care, exhibited “anomalous” symptoms of radiation exposure in their fingers, as reported by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission in South Korea in a statement translated using Google on Wednesday.

Their routine blood tests showed a normal outcome, as per the officials.

Upon reaching out to Samsung for a response, there was no immediate comment provided.

The potential incident of radiation exposure occurred at Samsung’s Giheung facility, situated approximately 25 miles south of the South Korean capital, Seoul.

Authorities confirmed the suspension of the machine linked to the incident. Presently, the definitive cause of the radiation exposure remains unknown, with the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission.

If any breaches of safety regulations are verified, the commission stated that further actions will be taken.
