Running from August 20-25 in Cologne, Germany, Gamescom 2024 covered an expansive 230,000 square meters, attracting over 1,400 companies showcasing their latest games and tech to an audience of more than 335,000 from around 120 nations at the yearly gaming convention. With something for everyone, Samsung’s booth emerged as a must-see attraction at Gamescom 2024.

An Enchanting Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Adventure

The focal point of the booth featured Samsung’s latest Odyssey 3D monitor — a glasses-free screen offering a 3D encounter distinct from anything presently accessible in the market.

Before Gamescom 2024, Samsung determined that the ideal distance for experiencing 3D gaming on the Odyssey 3D monitor was around 60 cm (approximately 2 feet). Monitors at the booth were set at this distance, enabling fans to try out Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology that projects 3D images with remarkable picture quality.

By embracing these innovations, Samsung continues to uphold its reputation for brilliance and ingenuity by reshaping the gaming domain and altering how individuals engage with their beloved titles. Prior to the highly anticipated launch of World of Warcraft: The War Within, enthusiasts received an exclusive preview of the new content on the 49” Odyssey OLED G9, intensifying the anticipation for the game. The monitor’s dual QHD resolution 32:9 ultra-wide screen ratio elevated Azeroth’s visual magnificence, while the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time almost instantly translated gameplay decisions.

Gaming on Samsung AI TVs Gaming Hub
