It has been widely announced by Ubisoft that they intend to go all in on Assassin’s Creed in the forthcoming years, with nearly a dozen projects in progress and a central location to experience them all. It is therefore unsurprising that at least a couple of these projects are earmarked for reinterpretation.

In a feature released by Ubisoft titled ‘CEO Yves Guillemot on Ubisoft’s Upcoming Portfolio, the Future of Assassin’s Creed’ the previously mentioned CEO disclosed (among other topics) that multiple reimaginings are presently in development, stating:

“Primarily, gamers can anticipate some reimaginings, which will afford us the opportunity to revisit some of the games we’ve crafted in the past and bring them up to date.”

He went on to add, “There are realms in certain of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still incredibly elaborate.”

Rumors have circulated about an Assassin’s Creed Redesign for some time now, with indications suggesting that Black Flag is in line for a makeover.

Nevertheless, given Ubisoft’s adherence to remasters for the AC series thus far, it will be intriguing to witness how much they opt to diversify the offerings.
