The Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs to Stay Unscathed by the “Vmin Shift Instability Problem”

Intel has provided an update regarding the instability issues observed in the 13th and 14th Generation Core processor lineups. Just before the launch of the Core Ultra 200 series, Intel has assured that the upcoming processors, codenamed Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake, will not be impacted by the instability problem termed “Vmin Shift Instability”.

Intel is expected to release another update by the end of the upcoming month. It is essential to note that the introduction of Arrow Lake is scheduled for October 17th, which implies that more detailed insights will be available as the investigation, spanning several months, progresses.

Intel has confirmed that the 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake” processors, encompassing both desktop and mobile versions, are not susceptible to this issue. Additionally, the i5 and i3 tier processors from the 13th and 14th Generations, particularly the non-K models, are also unaffected by this anomaly. Moreover, Intel has stated that none of the Raptor Lake mobile CPUs are impacted, which includes the mobile HX series known for being reutilized desktop CPUs in high-end laptops. This confirmation is pivotal, as it dispels any previous doubts.

Intel continues to advise all users of the 13th and 14th Gen Core CPUs, regardless of the specific SKU, to update to the latest BIOS version and utilize the Intel Default Settings.
