Breaking News: The Ryzen 9 9900X Excels in Geekbench Performance!

Recent revelations from Cinebench R23 hinted at the Ryzen 9 9900X’s capabilities, and now it has made a stellar appearance on Geekbench. The single-core performance of this CPU is turning heads, matching up to Intel’s flagship processor, the Core i9 14900KS.

Testing conducted on Geekbench 6 using a ROG Maximus X670E Gene motherboard and 32 GB of RAM showcased the Ryzen 9 9900X’s prowess. With an impressive single-core score of 3401 points and a multi-core score of 19,756 points, this CPU outshines even the renowned Intel Core i9 14900KS, which scores 3189 points in single-core mode.

While the Ryzen 9 9900X excels in single-core tasks, it falls behind in multi-core performance. The Core i9 14900KS takes the lead in this aspect with a score of 21,890 points. Comparing it to its predecessor, the 7900X, the 9900X demonstrates significant improvements with 2925 points in single-core performance and 17849 points in multi-core tasks, despite a slightly higher TDP of 170W versus 150W.

Intel CPUs have varying power profiles, with PL1 representing basic consumption at 125W and PL2 indicating a consumption limit of 253W for short bursts of activity. Recent adjustments by Intel aim to ensure stability by adhering to these power limits. However, thorough testing revealed that the Ryzen 9 9900X was evaluated under Intel’s standard profile, emphasizing its impressive performance within defined power constraints.
