During the Tech Day event, AMD showcased an impressive overclocking performance of the upcoming Ryzen 9 9950X processor. The chip was pushed to 6.00 GHz and put through rigorous tests on Cinebench r23 and wPrime, resulting in groundbreaking achievements!
AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X Astounds with 6.00 GHz Overclocking!
Undoubtedly, this demonstration showcased the immense capabilities of AMD’s upcoming flagship processor. In the Cinebench R23 benchmark, the CPU achieved an impressive score of 41,924 cb in multi-threaded mode at stock settings. By utilizing EXPO memory profiles and PBO, the score soared to 43,895 cb. Leveraging the Curve Shaper feature pushed the score even higher to 44,762 cb, and a staggering 53,604 cb was achieved with liquid nitrogen overclocking. Notably, this score already surpasses the current record of 50,843 cb in the 16-core category.
Another astonishing record was set in the wPrime 32m benchmark. While the standard score in the 16-core category stands at 1.61 sec, the Ryzen 9 9950X achieved 1.72 sec at stock settings. With a nitrogen-cooled overclock, the processor shattered expectations with a phenomenal 1.414 sec, setting a new benchmark despite its unreleased status.
AMD’s team hinted at the potential for the processor to surpass 6.3 GHz with further optimizations. It’s evident that overclocking enthusiasts will have a lot to look forward to when the Ryzen 9 9950X hits the market!
