Turtle Beach has introduced a duo of fresh additions to its assortment of gaming mice. Crafted based on the blueprint of the Kone AIMO mouse from Roccat (procured by Turtle Beach), the recently launched wireless Turtle Beach Kone II Air and wired Kone II ergonomic gaming mice are presently open for pre-purchase in black or white variations.
The Kone II Air and Kone II gaming mice emphasize ergonomic design to suit medium and larger hand dimensions, catering to diverse grip styles such as claw, palm, or fingertip. Both the wireless and wired models come equipped with additional grip tape to amplify control and are furnished with heat-treated PTFE feet for seamless gliding across surfaces.
Boasting the Easy-Shift[+] duplicator technology, the Kone II Air and Kone II mice extend the array of customizable functions to 21 and 23 correspondingly. The versatile 4D scroll wheel offers unrestricted spinning (exclusively available on the Kone II Air), tangible scrolling, and entirely personalized tilt controls. Moreover, these mice incorporate Turtle Beach’s Titan optical switch technology, providing a perceptible sensation, enduring up to 100 million clicks, and a pre-tensioning mechanism for heightened click accuracy.
Additionally, the mice endorse five onboard profiles and multi-zone RGB illumination, adaptable via Turtle Beach Swarm II. For the wired variant, the featherlight and pliable PhantomFlex cable diminishes drag while moving the mouse. As a bonus, the wireless adaptation comes with a USB-C to USB-A converter for added versatility. Furthermore, the wireless Kone II Air bestows a battery life of up to 350 hours utilizing low-latency Bluetooth or up to 130 hours through its 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity.
Both incarnations are Nvidia Reflex-compatible and yield response times below 25ms. The two versions of the Kone II are presently on offer for £59.99 (wired) and £119.99 (wireless), regardless of the chosen color variant.
Previously marketed under the Roccat brand, the Kone gaming mouse witnessed a rebranding by Turtle Beach following its acquisition of the company several months back, as they phased out all Roccat peripherals and introduced Turtle Beach branded adaptations of the most prominent products.
