Sudo version 1.9.16 has been released, mostly carrying bug fixes. Nonetheless, there are also miscellaneous innovations such as the compact_json alternative I discussed in a previous article. Another significant alteration is that guarded_path is now enabled as the default setting in the sudoers file, and there exists a fresh option for refining its contents.
