If you preorder Dead Rising Deluxe, you can revive the appearance Frank West sported back in 2006.

The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, despite its seemingly massive graphical overhaul, has raised eyebrows among fans due to the stark contrast in the appearance of the protagonist, Frank West. In the original installment of Dead Rising, Frank was depicted as a younger character, whereas in the revamped version, he is portrayed as significantly older. Those who wish to experience the classic look of Frank West will need to secure a pre-order to do so.

Pre-orders for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster are now open on various platforms, including consoles and PC. This time around, the pre-order incentive consists of ‘classic’ skins for both Frank West and Chuck Greene, restoring their original appearances from 2006.

If you’ve been a fan of the Dead Rising series for some time, alterations to Frank West’s appearance might not come as a shock. Throughout subsequent games, Capcom made several tweaks to the character’s design, with each iteration appearing slightly different. In a way, Frank West in the 2024 remaster embodies how one would envision him to look like in 2006, in the present day.

While the pre-order skin hasn’t ignited a frenzy among fans, some have voiced their disappointment over the absence of the original voice actor for Frank West in the remaster.

Dead Rising Deluxe is set to launch in September for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
