Asus has officially introduced the new ROG Strix Platinum line of power units, a collection of top-tier power sources customized to fulfill the needs of gaming aficionados. This series comprises three variations showcasing decreased linking temperatures, smart wattage allocation, ATX 3.1 compatibility, and a guarantee lasting a decade.

These power units are crafted to support a variety of gaming PC setups, no matter the graphics processing unit utilized. An exceptional feature is the exclusive GPU-Priority smart voltage stabilizer (IVS), ensuring a consistent power supply to overclocked graphics cards, delivering nearly 45% more consistent voltage to the GPU compared to traditional stabilizers. Users have the option to utilize a standard CPU-oriented voltage detector unless they connect the cord to the IVS.

Present in 850W, 1000W, and 1200W versions, the ROG Strix Platinum power units feature gallium nitride (GaN) MOSFETs, presenting nearly 30% enhanced power efficiency compared to prior iterations. The compact nature of the GaN MOSFET facilitates a simplified internal structure, enabling better dissipation of heat.

Equipped with dual ball bearings, the power unit fan offers an operational life of about 80,000 hours. When the PSU burden falls below 40%, the 0dB mode engages, allowing the fan to halt automatically at safe temperatures, ensuring a more serene gaming session. The 1000W Platinum ROG Strix model generates less than 20 dB of noise, deserving an A+ Cybernetics accreditation.

The line also showcases 80 Plus Platinum certifications, ensuring a minimum of 89% efficiency at all capacities. This is partially ascribed to the high-grade Japanese capacitors that boast a longer lifespan than traditional variants. The modular layout of the ROG Strix Platinum power units enables effortless setup and cable organization with pliable, engraved modular cords.

Asus supplies an exclusive CPU power cable in the ROG Strix Platinum lineup, sporting a unique color pattern and a fastener for swift identification. To conclude, the power sources are paired with ROG Strix decals, giving users the chance to inject a personal flair into their gaming arrangement.
