In a recent announcement during Summer Game Fest, Sony unveiled LEGO Horizon Adventures, a fresh take on the Horizon Zero Dawn game set in the colorful world of the LEGO Movie. Interestingly, this adaptation will not just be limited to PlayStation and PC but will also venture onto the Nintendo Switch platform. This unexpected move has sparked speculation about the potential inclusion of series protagonist Aloy in the popular fighting game Super Smash Bros.
Tim Symons, the franchise development lead producer at Guerrilla Games, shared insights in an interview with Kotaku about the implications of Horizon expanding to a Nintendo console and the prospects of collaborating with Nintendo to bring Aloy into the roster of Super Smash Bros.
Responding to queries about this crossover possibility, Symons expressed optimism, stating, “That would be pleasant. If Nintendo extends an invitation, we are open to exploring that opportunity.”
The introduction of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Switch has paved the way for an array of new franchises to enter the game, such as Joker from Persona, Minecraft Steve, Banjo Kazooie, and more.
The potential inclusion of PlayStation characters in a future Super Smash Bros. installment would be particularly intriguing, especially considering Aloy’s confirmed arrival on the Switch platform.
