The solutions to today’s Strands, game #88, are…

  • CHUNKY
  • BLOCK
  • CONE
  • KITTEN
  • CUBAN
  • WEDGE
  • STILETTO
  • SPANGRAM: HIGHHEELS

  • My evaluation: Effortless
  • My result: Perfect

The ease with which I completed this Strands puzzle in just a few minutes, despite having limited knowledge about the topic (an understatement), demonstrates its simplicity. Several of the responses were conveniently situated along the edges of the board and were quickly identified based solely on letter sequences: WEDGE, CHUNKY, and BLOCK were all straightforward to decipher in that manner.

That being said, I was clueless about what linked those words together. Revealing CONE further perplexed me. It was only upon discovering KITTEN and then CUBAN that the pieces fell into place in my mind, with the others following soon after.
