The latest update for the PC trial of Final Fantasy XVI has been launched to tackle stuttering issues. These improvements will also be extended to the full version of the game. The 1.02 patch for the trial aims to rectify the significant stutter problems that rendered the trial nearly unplayable on specific system configurations. While some minor stutters may still occur in demanding scenarios, the updated trial represents a substantial improvement over its predecessor.

In addition to addressing stuttering problems, the new update for the Final Fantasy XVI trial resolves various other issues. These include fixes for certain character display irregularities, Screen Space Reflections, and Variable Rate Shading settings not being applied correctly, as well as problems with screen mode settings not being saved on particular hardware setups. All of these fixes will be carried over to the final version of the game, scheduled for release in just a week on September 17th.
