Crunchyroll and Spotify Join the Price Hike Trend

The latest buzz in the streaming world involves Crunchyroll and Spotify as they both announce an increase in their subscription prices. Crunchyroll, known for its vast collection of anime content, is bumping up the cost of its Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan plans in several countries, including the US. While the standard Crunchyroll Premium tier remains at $7.99 per month, the Mega Fan plan will see a hike from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, and the Ultimate Fan tier will rise from $14.99 to $15.99 per month.

Additionally, Crunchyroll is reducing its free trial period from two weeks to just one week. Although these changes are not yet in effect worldwide, subscribers in certain regions will soon experience the adjusted pricing. On the other hand, Spotify, the popular music streaming service, has already raised its subscription fees in the UK and is expected to do the same in the US later this year.
