KONAMI has officially launched pre-sales for the physical versions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The Tactical Bundle will feature the game along with additional digital assets to be revealed later.

On the flip side, the Collector’s Edition priced at $199.99 includes the following perks:

• The initial-day “Tactical Edition” of METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER
• Mini terrarium replicating the iconic opening sequence of Virtuous Mission where Naked Snake retrieves his backpack caught on a tree limb. Contains tiny Naked Snake figurine and tree stump with a hanging bag.
• Replica of the forged ID badge used by Naked Snake to infiltrate Groznyj Grad Northeast disguised as a scientist.
• Premium embroidered patch displaying membership in the renowned FOX UNIT.
• Distinctive rubber patch commemorating Naked Snake’s memorable HALO parachute drop.
• Stunning retro-style metal game case showcasing original METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER artwork.

In addition, KONAMI has unveiled a new devlog featuring the renowned English voice actor for Snake, David Hayter. Hayter highlighted some key upgrades in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater compared to its predecessor. Notably, the damage system has been revamped to retain scars inflicted on Snake throughout the game. While cutscenes have seen enhancements, the core narrative remains unchanged. As for controls, players can opt for a legacy mode mirroring the original or a New Style control suited for modern third-person action game enthusiasts.

The second segment of the video showcased Hayter’s interview with Producer Noriaki Okamura, who mentioned:

We maintained the gameplay, storyline, and voice acting of the base game untouched. However, we needed to modernize the graphics and controls to meet current standards, which have evolved over time. These aspects have been updated, but the essence of the game and the original team’s creative vision remain the same.

Although the release date is yet to be confirmed, speculation hints at a probable near future launch. Recently, GameStop briefly listed a date of November 17, which being on a Sunday, seems improbable.
