This compact device operates on Windows and is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet ports, providing great potential for network-attached storage solutions.

The Maiyunda M1 may not catch your eye at first glance, sporting a minimalist design with a focus on functionality. Featuring a large on/off button on the front, a TF card slot, a USB 3.0 port, and two USB 2.0 ports, it presents a sleek yet unassuming appearance. On the back, HDMI 2.0 and DP ports allow for dual-screen setup at 4K/60Hz, alongside four 2.5GbE RJ45 ports and two additional USB 2.0 slots.

Measuring a mere 165 x 147.5 x 59mm, excluding the 52mm leg pads, the Maiyunda M1 comes in an all-aluminum shell reminiscent of standard mini PCs. Despite its compact size, this device packs a punch with four quick-release NVMe SSD slots on the front, allowing for easy expansion without the need to open the enclosure. Additionally, it supports an internal 2280 NVMe SSD, raising the total available storage capacity to an impressive 40TB.

At the core of the Maiyunda M1 lies either an Intel N100 or Core i3-N305 Alder Lake-N processor, coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM that can be upgraded to 32GB. The device is built to withstand temperatures ranging from 0°C to +70°C and humidity levels of 5% to 85%. While it runs on Windows, it boasts compatibility with various other systems such as Linux, Proxmox VE, ESXI, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, Unraid, and OMV (OpenMediaVault).

Currently exclusively available in China, the Maiyunda M1 offers a competitive price point of 1380 CNY (approximately $190) on Taobao. Pricing details for different configuration options are yet to be revealed, but the device’s feature set and storage capacity make it an attractive option for those in need of a compact yet powerful NAS solution.
